Ran Some Errands & Ended Up With This... MAKEUP!

I was running some errands the other day, when suddenly I remembered that I had to go to the drugstore to pick up some products from my shopping list. As luck would have it, I had a couple of coupons for these items too! I went to CVS because I'm a beauty club member there (for every $50 dollars I spend, I get a $5 or $10 dollar reward... Anyone can join). I picked up a few makeup products that I've been wanting to try, but never really had the time to go out and get. Here are some of the little goodies I purchased:

I needed a matte nude eyeshadow to use as a highlighter after I fill in my eyebrows.

I was so excited to try this product! I've heard it's comparable to the MAC Fix+ Setting spray. I really wanted something to set my makeup so it won't melt off once I step outside. 

This blush is so lightweight and pigmented and plus at the same time it also gives an airbrushed look too.

Since I've been tanning a lot this summer my skin is constantly changing color, so I wanted to pick up a inexpensive foundation to use. I've heard so many good things about L'Oreal True Match can't wait to try it out :)

And lastly I just had to pick up some new lip products too!

Manicure Monday: Koala Berry

I know I've been slacking a bit on my Manicure Mondays, but we're back in business! About a week ago, I cut my thumb with a box cutter (the worst experience of my life...Ouch!). Thanks to that incident, I wasn't able to paint my nails for a while. Thank God my thumb healed fast so I can finally get back to my manicures. I was getting sick and tired of my pale, colorless nails! This week's nail polish is my current obsession; it's called "Koala Berry" by OPI. It's an even mix between pink and red (my two favorite colors for this summer). Surprisingly, this polish does not need a top coat; it's actually shiny by itself (talk about a cut back on time and labor). Anyways, I hope y'all have a fantastic week, and enjoy the return of

I like this week's "Sunday Social" questions.  Um, probably it's because its all about shopping the one thing I love to do of course! Hope y'all enjoy :) 

1. What is your favorite store to shop at?

I have a lot of favorite stores but out of all of them I love Forever 21 and Target. 

2. If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?

Chanel or  Louis Vuitton

3. What is your must have closet staple?

My must have closet staple is a pink blazer. It's an instant pop of color! 

 4. What is your favorite kind of shoes? (brand or type)

Jessica Simpson! Her shoes are stylish and affordable.

 5. What is the best clothing deal you've ever gotten? (sale or amazing find)

My Kate Spade LBD for only $30 (a retail value of $378). I nearly fainted when I saw the price tag cause I couldn't believe it was on sale for only $30!!!   

 6. What is a style you'd love to try?

I'm all for trying new styles so I couldn't tell ya off the top of my head which ones I'm will to try.

This post is obviously dedicated to Father's Day. I'm very blessed to have a wonderful dad in my life. He has always been there for me through my good and bad times. He kept my head up high for the times I struggled most. My father is my biggest motivator. I love you daddy and I hope you enjoy my blog post :) Here's a note just for you! Manicure Monday: Red Lights Ahead... Where??? by OPI

Oh yes, the classic red seems to stick around no matter what season it is. This week's favorite shade of red is "Red Lights Ahead... Where???" by OPI. It's one of my favorite reds from my nail polish collection, and is the perfect shade of polish for summer. It adds a nice pop of color on your nails, and looks great with all skin tones. You absolutely must try it out for yourself to see why I love it so much!

Hey y'all! This Sunday Social is all about bloggers talking about there own blog; it's a great way to get to know how other bloggers started. I'm excited, so let's get started!!!

1.  How did you come up with your blog name? 

After coming up with three different blog names, I found one that was just right.  Catoura means, pretty much, a tour of my life. I love the word Couture, but this word was already used up (A LOT) in the blogging world. I wanted something unique, so I came up with Catoura. The "C " stands for Catherine and the last "A" is my last initial. The middle section of Catoura is actually "a tour." So, when put those key letters and words together you get Catoura, a word that sounds an awful lot like Couture (see what I did there?). Hopefully, I can make this my own brand one day in the future :) 

2. What is your favorite thing about blogging?

Meeting new bloggers (especially those who live in my home town Atlanta), and of course taking pictures and writing. 

 3. What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now can't live without? 

Oddly enough, a lot of websites I would have never really joined if it weren't for the wonderful bloggers out there. For example: Pinterest, Instagram, and Chalkboard 

4. Facebook or Twitter? and Why?

I like Facebook because I can connect to more of my fans over seas. Plus, I love it how my grandma says "hold on a second, I'm Facebooking." I thinks it's hilarious! I am planning to make a Twitter account for Catoura soon, though, so stay tuned. 

5. If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be?

Maria Menounos, she is my inspiration! I finally found a celeb that I could relate to thanks to her wonderful book; because of her I did things I would have never done before, like pageants! 

 6. What is something you want people to know about your blog?

I want people to know that my blog is really an inside look at my life and dreams. It reflects my true passions and loves, from fashion to traveling to everything in-between. I only blog about things that I'm really passionate about...

Never Ever EVER Will I...

Yay! The very first "Never Ever Ever" Link up!!! I just had to participate on all the fun on Tuesdays! I pretty much listed things I will never ever ever do or say: 

 Never Ever Ever Will I:

•   Go to a tanning bed (premature wrinkles from a fake sun…ew)

• Wear something I truly don’t like

• Buy makeup just to buy it

•  Eat anything categorized as a delicacy (like for example chitlins, cow tongue, lamb brain and etc you get the point

• Finish a book if isn’t interesting enough for me to continue (yawning!)

• Go on a trip without an itinerary (but I will make some exceptions)

• Make a trip to the mall on Saturdays (Unless I absolutely have to… Did I hear 70% off?)

• Cross a bridge made out of wooden panels (Forget it! If I’m stuck in a jungle then I might as well find Tarzan to save me)

• Wear harem pants (I hate'em)  

• Stop cleaning when I get emotional

• Do something I’m not passionate about (love blogging!!!)
