I always applied moisturizer after finishing my face cleansings, but apparently I've been doing it all wrong! According to
my skin care specialist, once
you
cleanse your face you must make sure to seal the cleanse by applying a
toner. The
toner helps to shrink pores and get rid of any stubborn residue left
behind from cleansing.
I prefer to use Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner as it always leaves my skin
feeling re-hydrated and fresh. It's funny how such a simple tip can
make so much of a
difference. Happy Tuesday
everyone!
TBT Edition: First Spring OOTD from 2013
Can't believe my favorite season of the year is coming soon!
I dedicate this TBT (Throw-Back-Thursday) to my first spring outfit from 2013.
I still have the top and I plan to wear it again this year. Once I'm done with
my spring cleaning I might even find some other tops (stored away for a whole
year). Hope y'all are having a wonderful Thursday!

Beauty Tip Tuesday: Want Clearer Skin?
Here's a beauty tip that my own mother uses! Can you believe that a
simple drop of honey and half a lemon can actually clear your skin?
Well, it's true! For years I've watched my mom use this homemade mixture
of lemon and honey on her face. All you have to do is rub the lemon
with a drop of honey onto your face once or twice a week; apply it on
the areas of your face that have acne scarring or discoloration. This
will help clear up those stubborn marks, while leaving your face feeling
fresh and brighter! I am very happy with my results, so I suggest you
give it a try. You may find yourself surprised with some of the changes
you see in your skin quality!
Manicure Monday: Sand Topez
Well,
winter is pretty much over and spring is just around the corner! As
much as I love my winter shades, I seriously can't wait to wear brighter
shades, pastels, and even a hint of neon as spring rolls in. With that
said, I want to dedicate this Manicure Monday to my final winter nail polish of the year: Sand
Topez by Essie. It has been my favorite go-to, nude polish for many
years now. I first heard about it when YouTuber DulceCandy mention this
in one of her videos. What I saw immediately had me interested in
purchasing the polish for myself. The polish is a very sandy shade,
which goes well with any skin tone. Give this polish a try for yourself,
and I am sure you will fall in love with it the same way I did. Happy Monday Everyone!!!
Bloom Into Spring
Happy Friday everyone! It looks like it is going to be a warm and sunny
weekend in Atlanta. I'm ecstatic because I'm kind of
getting tired of the cold winter days we've been having down here. I am so
ready to jump into spring! Can you believe it's just around the
corner... March 20, here we come! Since I'm super excited about the season
change, I decided to bring out my spring dresses. This soft-lime, lace dress by Nine West paired beautifully with my favorite
little brown booties. Adding some bright jewels and an off-white,
vintage clutch completed the look. Sometimes a simple touch of sparkle
and style is all it takes to make an outfit outstanding. This
look is perfect
for going out causally, but with flair. Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!
Dress Up Trunk Show
I just love attending Trunk Shows! A couple of weekends ago, my bestie and I headed to our favorite little boutique: Dress Up (this post is way overdue... Eek). We sipped on some drinks and munched on some oh-so delicious treats like macaroons. In the midst of all of that, we still managed to do some shopping. If you haven't been to the this boutique you are missing out! They have the cutest dresses and the most adorable accessories; from bold statement necklaces to gorgeous bracelets, they have it all. Overall, we had a fabulous time at the Dress Up Trunk Show. I hope y'all have a chance to stop by and check them out some time soon!
