Benefit Foundation & Urban Decay Brush Review

It's that time of year again! The time when I like to change up my foundation. I've been getting a little sun-kissed lately, causing my skin tone to change slightly. Looks like I'm putting that pale, winter face aside and jumping onto the summer band wagon. It was  about time to change up my makeup too. This past weekend, I headed to Sephora in search of the perfect shade of foundation. I ended up purchasing an item from the "Hello Flawless" collection by Benefit.

Bold Flowers

With bold and colorful patterns, floral pants are a huge hit for this spring/summer! Pairing them with a chic crop-top adds an extra flair to the overall look. When wearing floral pants, always try pairing it with a solid color; avoid print-on-print (sometimes there is such a thing as way too much). To easily determine which solid color would go best, look to the background color of the pants. For instance, the background color on mine was black, so I went with a classic black top. In another picture I wore a coral top, helping to add some additional contrast to the look. So wear those floral pants with pride, and be different for once this season. Hope all you sweeties out there are having a wonderful Hump Day!

Mani Monday: Bachelorette Bash

Wedding season is in full bloom! This past weekend, I saw multiple weddings occurring during my mini-trips around town. I might have even photo-bombed a few... Eeek! Also, did I mention that I'm going to be a bridesmaid at my bestie's wedding? I... Can't... Wait!!! Without further adieu, this week's Mani Monday just has to be wedding-based. A pop of hot pink is a must for any bachelorette party; this polish is the perfect fit for just such an occasion. It's called "Bachelorette Bash" by Essie. I personally think this would be a terrific item to include in any bridesmaid goody bags. What's on your Mani this week? I hope y'all are having a wonderful day, even though it's Monday!

Manicure Monday: Sweet Hook

Purple, pastel nail polish has been my current obsession for the past two weeks now. One particular polish I've adored recently is called Sweet Hook by China Glaze. Last year my favorite spring polishes were pale pinks, but this years it's all about purple. The only major con about this specific polish is the matte finish. There is hope, though, since for a glossy finish you just apply two coats of your topcoat of choice. Hope y'all are having a wonderful Monday!

When Simplicity & Style Meet

Ah, the weather is finally warming up here in the city! Too bad the April showers are moving in... Boo! At least for the time being, I can wear my skirts before the rainy days arrive in Atlanta. This striped skirt has been sold out online and in stores for a while now.
Luckily, I recently found it while I was window shopping at the mall a couple of weeks ago. When I saw it on the manikin in the store's window, I jumped up and down with excitement (...Okay, not literally). The price of the skirt was fab, at only $20 (more info below)! I wore an oxford-blue button up with a lovely crystal-studded statement necklace.
My heels are a pair of adorable black, pointy-toed heels with amazingly cute bows on top. And, of course this lady has to add a pop of color in her outfit! I wore my bright-pink Kate Spade purse to add  little extra flair to my look. I hope y'all are having a fabulous day, and finding ways to add some pizzazz to your own outfits!

Jeans, Jewels & Polka Dots

Finally, spring has arrived along with warmer weather here in Atlanta! This week's outfit is a simple look, yet with a hint of style. I call  it the "weekender" outfit. Wearing denim-on-denim is becoming a big trend this year, so don't be afraid to experiment with it. In this look I wore a light-washed denim button up with a pair of dark skinny jeans. To add a pop of style, I wore a polka dot blouse on top of my denim button up. I kept my jewelry and shoes neutral: golds and nudes. Hope y'all are having a wonderful Hump Day!
