Product Review: Clean and Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub
Ahhh, I still remember the first time I used Clean and Clear back in my
tween
days... Back then they didn't have the fancy scrubs with micro beads in
them, (kids have it so good now). I bought this product two days ago,
and I'm already obsessed! I use it daily in
the shower to exfoliate my face, under some nice warm water. A tip for
y'all: exfoliating treatments and face scrubs work wonders in a warm
shower as your pores tend to open up leading to better, more noticeable
results. The scrub leaves a tingling effect
once you dry your face, and believe me when I say it feels so
refreshing. It's also very affordable
too; you can find it at your local drugstore for under $6.00. This
product, especially at that great price, is a must have!

The Perks of Drinking Cherry Juice
Lately,
I’ve been focusing in improving my diet by eating new, healthier foods
that I wouldn’t normally eat. I decided to do some research on one fruit
in
particular… Cherries. I am absolutely obsessed with cherries, but I had
never
tried drinking cherry juice. I had no idea that there were so many
perks to drinking cherry juice; I was awestruck. I headed to my local
grocery store (Whole Foods) to grab a jar of “Just Tart Cherry Juice” to
try these benefits out for myself. Now, let me advise y'all that while
drinking it warm is definitely not my
cup of tea, putting some ice in it definitely improves the taste. The
tart yet sweet natural flavoring adds a little kick to get you going.
I’ve
been drinking cherry juice for about two months now, and I have already
noticed some
changes to my health!
Here a 5 benefits to drinking cherry juice:
1. It helps boosts your immune system.
3. Helps you get a better night's sleep due to its melatonin content
4. Great anti-aging benefits
5. Helps with weight loss too!

Beauty Tip Tuesday: How to Fix Dried-Out Gel Eyeliner
Have
a crummy looking pot of gel eyeliner? Don't throw it away, just fix
it! Your probably wondering, how could you possibly fix that dried out,
old product? Well, here's a simple trick that I like
to use to give my old liners new life. All you need to do is pop it
in the microwave for around 10 to 15 seconds; the heat will melt the
gel
eyeliner, and leave it looking as new as the day you bought it. After
having used this trick multiple times, I haven't wasted
another pot of liner in forever! My favorite gel eyeliner is
by Maybelline, and it is definitely not a product I want to see go to
waste. I hope this trick helps some of you ladies out there really get
your money's worth out of any gel eyeliner you buy from now on! .

Sweet Scents of Serenity
I stopped by the MAC store after work one day last week just to browse
around for any new products. As I started to leave MAC, my nose was
suddenly bombarded by the most intoxicating smell I had ever
experienced... This scent caught
my attention immediately, and I found myself instinctively making a
beeline straight towards the source. I found myself standing before the
birthplace of this wonderful aroma: a store known as The Body Shop. This
store specializes in organic and natural products, shying away from
big-name brands in favor of more unique stock from small, independent
vendors. A great deal of their sales support small companies and
communities all over the world. This place is way different than Bath
& Body Works, and trust me when I tell you that I'm a huge B&BW
fan. The Body Shop gives you a great vibe as soon as you walk in,
especially due to the very pure, delicious scents emanating from their
products.
So, I enter the door, only to be greeted by a very nice employee approached me asking if I was looking for anything in particular... Yes I was! The first thing that came out of my mouth was, "what is that smell coming from?" She knew exactly what I was talking about, and took me to the corner of the store where she introduced me to two small bottles. The scent that had so overtaken me was a blend of two oils. She said to add a couple of drops of each on a candle oil burner, with the resulting concoction creating that same amazing smell. She handed over a bottle named "Satsuma;" it had more of a clean laundry smell with juts a hint of citrus. Then she gave me a second bottle, which was called "Strawberry;" as the name suggests, it smelled like... Well, strawberries (and I mean FRESH PICKED)!
The combination of these scents (so delicious individually), created a perfect partnership. A sweet scent of serenity come true. This scent seemed to so perfectly exemplify summer. Give it one smell for yourself, and be taken away on a private summer getaway on the beaches of your imagination!

Off to Target I GO!
As many of you may know, I am a HUGE fan of Target. They are almost
the PERFECT store, with their balance of stylish, quality products with
affordability. Because of that, it's easy for any fashionista to get
carried away with so many cute items at bargain prices! Yesterday my
boyfriend and I stopped by our local store, where I was able to pick out
a few cute items.
I snagged up a couple of pairs of shoes, both Mossimo brand. One pair were gorgeous turquoise heels that I knew would fit in perfectly with many of my brighter, summer styles. The other pair were a deep blue set of wedges, that seemed to be calling out for me! I instantly found myself coming up with outfits that the blue wedges would spice up, so I knew I could not leave that store without them.
I also found a stunning dark fuchsia nail polish. The brand of it is by Revlon and the name of it is called Vintage. It was a no-brainer purchase as far as I was concerned, since it was clearanced for less than $2.00!
I also purchased three pairs of earrings. Target had a sale going on "Buy 3 for $15." I picked two blue hues and one nude toned pair as well. Remember dangly earrings are in this season. The colors I chose reminds me of the beach.
Other than that, I just picked up a few what-nots, and we headed back home. That's the wonderful thing about Target... A fashionista can go big in the style game, and pick up a few other goodies along the way!

Bold Patterns
Bold
patterns are soooo hot this season, but why not... They're a CLASSIC fashion
staple! The bold patterned trend never seems to fade, and has been around
in one capacity or another for years. This season, add some unique
cutoffs for an extra BAM to your bold outfit. Make sure that when wearing
a bold patterned outfit you minimize your accessories. The pattern is great,
and so are accessories, but too much pizazz is not the friend you might think
it is! Bright colors, especially vibrant blues, hot reds, or bright purples can
really make a unique, embellished pattern stand out even more. I personally
went with the purple backdrop for my patterned dress, but don't think you have
to necessarily do the same. Create your own unique combo, and just be you. If
you like red, sport some sassy cherry-red with a bold pattern on top. Remember,
keep any jewelry and accessories simple and classy; the pattern is the focus,
so don't take away from it. Now, go out there and light up any room with your
patterned look, and make a statement that will have you heard without words!
Summery Nailpolish Cheapies
This past weekend my girlfriends and I went out for a dinner date to
catch up after having not seeing each other for quite some time. After
dinner we stopped by at Walgreens because one of my besties wanted to
run in to
grab something. The first spot we
stopped at was the, obviously, beauty aisle, lol! We were looking at
nail polishes when my bestie said, "I just can't see myself spending a
ton of money on just one nail polish." I agreed, as I'm sure many other
fashionistas out there also do. Every
once in a while you will catch me spending $12 or so on a bottle of
nail polish, but majority of the time I usually prefer to spend less
than $6 on
them. I look at it this way: I can save my money and put it towards
bigger pieces like a premium perfume, the perfect purse, or a stunning
shoe. When it
comes to nail polish, I'm really not much of a brand nut; I actually
look at the color of the polish itself more than any other factor.
This
week the Sinful Professionals nail polishes are on
sale for ONE DOLLAR, that's right ONE DOLLAR, only at Walgreens. They're
normally $1.99 (normally a pretty good deal in itself), but not this
week! So, hurry up and grab yourself a
handful of polishes before they disappear!!! The colors
that I chose were some that I don't really have in my collection of
polishes, but why not try some out when you're only dropping ONE DOLLAR
on each? I tried to pick out colors that I know are in for the late
spring and early summer seasons.
When we were ready to check out, we
were looking
at the each others picks of polishes. My friend and I noticed we had
chosen the same color, "Island Coral." That particular color was
actually my number one choice. Now remember one important rule of being a
top-notch fashionista: a chic girl is a girl who
knows how to bargain shop!
