One of the key elements of tea tree oil, that wonderful miracle
substance that's great for acne treatment, is called terpinen-4-ol. This
component is believed to be responsible for most of tea tree oil's
antimicrobial benefits. Tea tree oil has long shown an ability to kill
the bacteria responsible for acne, Propionibacterium acnes. Acne likes
to creep up when we least expect it, but at least we have tea tree oil
to fend off that pesky bacterial menace!
