Beauty Tip Tuesday: Tea Tree Oil Is Great For Treating...

One of the key elements of tea tree oil, that wonderful miracle substance that's great for acne treatment, is called terpinen-4-ol. This component is believed to be responsible for most of tea tree oil's antimicrobial benefits. Tea tree oil has long shown an ability to kill the bacteria responsible for acne, Propionibacterium acnes. Acne likes to creep up when we least expect it, but at least we have tea tree oil to fend off that pesky bacterial menace!

This Season's Favorite Color: Cobalt Blue

After going to a couple of fashion shows this past weekend, I've noticed a huge trend towards what is perhaps fall's "it" color: cobalt blue. Last year it was emerald green, but this year the fashion industry is feeling blue. This definitely made me a happy girl since cobalt blue already happened to be one of my favorite colors. I actually wore a cobalt blue blazer to the Macy's Elle and Blair fashion show on Saturday, paired with some sleek, black skinnies, and a pair of ankle strap heels (the heels were quite painful, so I quickly changed them into my Guess strap heels). I carried my all time favorite statement clutch by Tory Burch to complete the look. The pictures from the fashion show can be seen here. I hope y'all decide to add a pop of cobalt blue to your wardrobe. I promise it won't disappoint, and it will definitely make for an eye catching piece in any ensemble this season!

Being a science major in school I wanted to do something totally out of the science world, so I started to blog about my life, fashion and beauty stuff.

I Met Elle and Blair Fowler!!!

OMG! I can't tell y'all how excited I was to finally meet my all time favorite Youtube Gurus, Elle and Blair. These two pretty ladies are actually from Georgia, so when Macy's told me they were going to be in town I had to stop by to say hi! Not only did I get the chance to meet these fellow vloggers, but I also got to see the fashion show they were putting on. The event showcased some of their favorite pieces for the coming fall season. Overall, I absolutely adored the entire spectacle. I have to say, there's not a better way for a fashion blogger to start her weekend!

A Night of Fashion & Meeting Tai Beauchamp from InStyle Magazine!!!

Tonight my bestie, Lidijia (also a blogger too!), and I headed to Lenox Mall (a popular high-end mall in Atlanta). They were having an event called "Girl's Night Out." As we were going through Macy's, we were stopped by a lovely lady, now a friend, named Tamara (such a sweetie) who told us that Tai Beauchamp, the Instyle Magazine Ambassador, was there hosting a fashion show. We watched the show and had a blast! We saw some new pieces that are going to be pretty popular this fall. I also had the chance to talk to her, and believe me when I tell you that her confidence and beauty are truly empowering; I love meeting people like her. I also wanted to say a big thanks to the Macy's team that did such an amazing job putting the event together :)

Labor Day Recap + Weekly Wrap Up

Hello to all my lovely viewers, back to see yet another Weekly Wrap Up! I had an amazing holiday weekend, and what better to do than share it with y'all. I got some much needed relaxation (for the most part), went shopping, and even did a little cooking too! Okay, maybe not cooking per se, but I did whip up a delicious chicken salad sandwich... Yumo!
